How You Can Help Right Now
Shamrock’n Half Marathon
Date: Sunday, March 11 from 6am- 1pm
Location: Raley Field, West Sacramento
Opportunity: The Shamrock’n Half Marathon is seeking hundreds of energetic, dedicated volunteers to help with the event. Volunteer areas include: race day packet pick up, course monitor, aid station, water distribution, tear down, etc. Email info@volunteersac.org.
Harvest Sacramento
Date: Every Saturday in January and February
Location: Various Sacramento Neighborhoods
Opportunity: As a volunteer fruit harvester, you will harvest surplus fruit and vegetables from backyards and small orchards. Volunteers will pick, sort, and prepare fruit for donation. Come on out and meet new people and have fun! All produce goes to local food assistance agencies. Email info@volunteersac.org.
Valentine Run Outreach
Date: Wednesday, Jan. 11 – Wednesday, Feb. 8
Location: Sacramento area
Opportunity: Valenteens are needed to help distribute brochures and posters to local area businesses. This can be done on any day or time a business is open. Arrangements can be made to pick up brochures and posters at the Legal Services of Northern CA office. Email info@vounteersac.org
